The mission of the Lucas County Court Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian ad Litem (CASA/GAL) Program is to serve the best interests of abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system. CASA volunteers provide quality advocacy for children so that every child can be safe and have a permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.

e Hungry Helping Hands of St. Louis Helping Hands of St. Louis, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo, is located at 443 Sixth St., Toledo, Ohio, serves low-income and homeless families and individuals. The Outreach Center includes a Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry and Clothing Center. Additional services include providing hygiene packs to families and hot showers and hygiene and meal kits to the homeless.

Mobile Meals Volunteer Volunteering has its rewards. Mobile Meals relies on volunteers to help serve our clients in need. Hundreds of volunteers donate thousands of service hours annually by delivering nutritious food to help our clients maintain their independence. We would love to have you join our valued team of volunteers. Your time will help change the life of someone in need. Volunteers that deliver meals typically work two lunch hours each month. You’ll deliver on the same days of the month, and you’ll deliver to the same clients’ neighborhood each time. Potential volunteers must attend an orientation session, authorize a background check, and provide proof of automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license.

We chose nearly ten years ago, and hope always to remain a church that serves in the community, that lives for Jesus 7 days a week, and that continues to grow individually and corporately in Jesus Christ our Lord. This is why the church is called New Heights Fellowship Baptist Church of East Toledo.

The Zoo sends dozens of employees across the globe to conduct research and participate in conservation programs to better the lives of animals and ecosystems. The Zoo doesn’t forget about its own backyard though, as our Wild Toledo program does unique conservation work in northwest Ohio. As a visitor, member, volunteer or employee at the Zoo, it is easy to see and appreciate the world-renowned conservation efforts put forth by the Toledo Zoo.
