Major Events

They fill important roles such as Cross-Country Jump Judges, Road Crossing Safety monitors, and Grandstand Seating Ushers. This event takes place the last weekend of April each year and volunteer positions are open throughout the entire month to assist with setup and preparation.
Mutual Aid & Grassroots Networks

Many communities rely on grassroots and informal networks to meet urgent needs. There may be opportunities to get involved through mutual aid networks, food distribution efforts, neighborhood action teams, or other groups that aren’t often listed on volunteer platforms.

  • Lexington Mutual Aid

The Mutual Aid for Lexington group (MAL) is a growing network in Lexington, Kentucky, built to help our neighbors during the SNAP benefits crisis through acts of solidarity which include and are not limited to redistribution of food/cash/wealth/material goods and services, organizing, and education. We invite you to reflect on your own needs, comfort and privileges and consider sharing what you can.
