| How you help | Running the Westport Food Pantry is truly a team effort and we couldn’t do it with out the help of our volunteers. We have about twenty volunteers that help us, some rotating every other week. Every day we keep these ideals in mind as we work: Generosity, Positivity and Kindness. |

| About | In Sept 2020 the Westport Food Pantry location transitioned to the Westport Grange 181 Basement, 931 Main Rd., Westport (due to the fact recreation programs and gym rentals would eventually resume in the Annex Gym). A wonderful partnership was formed between the Town of Westport/Westport Food Pantry and the Westport Grange. In Nov/Dec 2020 the Westport Grange helped spearhead the “Westport Has Heart” fundraising initiative that helped bring awareness and donations to the Westport Food Pantry. October 21, 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Town of Westport/Westport Food Pantry and the Friends of the Westport Council on Aging (FWCOA; a 501(c)3). FWCOA is now the Fiscal Sponsor for the Westport Food Pantry. This opens up more grant opportunities and makes donations tax deductible. We are working toward establishing a 501(c)3 just for the Westport Food Pantry, but in the meantime this partnership has been successful and appreciated. |
