To fight senior hunger in our community by delivering hope and fresh produce.

Pie in the Sky began in the summer of 2009 as a little pie shop on Main Street in Hastings. The community was rife with issues of poverty, social injustice and a host of underserved people who fell through the cracks for most services. The pie shop baked and sold pies to raise money to help fill in those cracks. As a boots on the ground organization, Pie in the Sky took on most jobs others were reluctant to do. Such as, rallying the community, organizing food drives, sock drives and wheelchair ramp drives, and helping enslaved farmworkers escape their abusers.
