Since the Lakeshore Regional Child Advocacy Center initiative launched in Port Washington in the summer of 2015, more than 4,200 children, adolescents and their families have received services. The launch of this endeavor represented a strengthened commitment to collaborative, trauma-informed services for the families of Ozaukee and Washington counties. The Lakeshore CAC service area has grown quickly to include Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties in 2017 and 2020, respectively. In October 2020, the satellite location in Sheboygan Police Department was opened through a great deal of support from partner agencies and the community.
