| About | Ken-Rock Community Center is a not-for-profit agency that has served residents of all ages in the Rock River Valley for nearly 81 years. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and families through recreation, education and social programs in the Rock River Valley. The center offers after school programs, summer recreation day camp for children, senior citizen activities and services, adult computer training and concealed carry classes, community holiday events, craft fairs, a weekend thrift shop, and oversees a 31-unit senior HUD project for the elderly. The center also operates year-round sports and recreational activities for more than 1,000 boys and girls. This includes summer and fall softball leagues, elementary and junior high basketball leagues, Rising Stars basketball tournaments and indoor and outdoor soccer. All of Ken-Rock’s sports programs depend on volunteers. We have more than 200 dedicated adults volunteer their time at the center each year. For extra fun, the community center features a 44-foot bounce house for all your party events including birthday and graduation specials. Ken-Rock Community Center began as a Junior League project in the 1930s and was incorporated in 1950. The center was the proud recipient of the 2014 Excelsior Award Winner for community service.
