To end child hunger in the Northern Virginia area by raising awareness and community involvement.

Food For Neighbors was founded in Herndon, Virginia, to combat child hunger among middle and high school students in Northern Virginia. Recognizing the impact of food insecurity on students’ success, we partnered with schools, social workers, and local communities to provide reliable access to meals and snacks.

Our efforts began in Herndon and have since expanded to serve schools across Springfield, Falls Church, Fort Hunt, Loudoun County, and Arlington County. Through our Red Bag Program, we engage communities to donate, collect, and distribute food directly to schools, ensuring students in need receive immediate support.

We remain dedicated to ending child hunger and helping more students thrive.
