CORE The Learning Center originated in 1986 as Literacy Volunteers of Allegany County. Over the years our name has changed but our mission and values remain the same. Our goal is to empower the communities we serve through lifelong learning. Over the last 30 years we have expanded Adult Literacy services and educational opportunities tremendously. Our organization now encompasses 6 counties; Allegany, Cattaraugus, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming. It’s never too late to start something new, and we’re here to help you achieve more today.
