Here are places to learn more or that may show current needs. Typical Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities: Gordon Hall Gordon Hall volunteers help us prepare and rehabilitate the building. This includes housekeeping, building maintenance, landscape maintenance, and working as a tour guide. Museum Guide/Curator Volunteer at the museum assisting with our displays, genealogy, historical research, as a tour guide, or as a curator assistant Activities/Events Assist throughout the year with activities and events such as Gordon Hall Days, Christmas Bazaar, Gordon Hall Christmas Events, and the Dexter Heritage Guild. Historical Society Join the historical society and get involved with the newsletter, programs, publicity, fundraising, and organizational support. | About | Located in the Village of Dexter, Michigan the Dexter Area Historical Museum serves as western Washtenaw County’s link with history. The museum is housed in the former St. Andrew’s United Church of Christ built in 1883. In addition to numerous artifacts, the museum contains a large display area, a genealogical library, a local history library and the Corner Gift Shop. |
