Overview

There are multiple ways to find volunteer opportunities in this state. Some well-established organizations may expect prospective volunteers to visit their websites directly, while others—especially smaller organizations—may rely on community, statewide, or national volunteer recruitment platforms.

Statewide Platforms

Arizona does not currently have a statewide volunteering platform. Information may be available through the Service Commission or local community pages below.

Service Commission

Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism

The state entity that encourages Arizonans’ engagement in service and volunteer efforts. The commission helps non-profit organizations better serve their missions through the power of volunteers to meet community needs and oversees the AmeriCorps program for the state.

Service Programs

Service programs engage individuals in hands-on projects—such as education, conservation, disaster response, and community development—while providing valuable experience and making a direct impact.

  • Arizona Conservation Corps (AZCC) operates programs across Arizona engaging individuals and strengthening communities through service and conservation. AZCC is focused on connecting youth, young adults and recent era military veterans with conservation service work projects on public lands.
