  • Rotary Club of Cedar Rapids

    Daybreak Rotary is a club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, focused on community service and the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.” 

    They hold “Happy Hour” style meetings Fridays at 7:00 AM, currently in a hybrid format (in person at Cedar Rapids Country Club with an online option via their newsletter). 

    The club is inclusive—welcoming members “young and young at heart,” from a variety of backgrounds. 

    They are active in grants, scholarships, international projects, speaker events, and special fundraisers (one being their annual “Duck Race”)

  • Cedar Rapids Noon Lions Club

    The Cedar Rapids Noon Lions Club is a service-based club mainly focused on projects relating to eyesight which includes the KidSight Program project which collects eyeglasses to test on children’s eyesight.  The Cedar Rapids Noon Lions Club was founded on May 6, 1920 as part of the Lions Clubs International service organization. Their mission is to “empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs”. Project interests have expanded to include Diabetes, Hunger, Environment, and Childhood Cancer. Members of the Cedar Rapids Noon Lions Club come from a variety of backgrounds and ages. People who are seeking to join are welcome to come to meetings held at the First Luthern Church (Lower Level NE Corner) on 1000 Third Ave SE Cedar Rapids, IA every second and fourth Thursday of each month from 11:45-1:15pm.
