Our mission is to position the Topeka area as a premier destination for athletes by cultivating an inclusive sports environment that elevates local facilities, hosts top-quality sporting events, and promotes health and wellness for all residents. We are committed to uniting businesses, sports organizations, and community members to create opportunities for youth and adults to engage in athletics, fostering a culture of participation and achievement. Through initiatives like TASC Cares, we strive to remove barriers to sports access, ensuring every individual in Topeka and surrounding counties can experience the benefits of an active lifestyle.

We are the Topeka Area Sports Commission (TASC), a nonprofit organization launched three years ago under the umbrella of Visit Topeka, dedicated to advancing sports tourism and community engagement in Topeka and Shawnee County. Our team, led by Director Mike Bell, consists of staff and volunteers who work with local stakeholders—venues, coaches, and sports enthusiasts—to establish Topeka as a hub for athletes, recruiters, and event directors. With a focus on inclusivity and strong community roots, we take pride in our role as a catalyst for sports development, highlighted by efforts like hosting the TopCity Half Marathon and supporting local facilities like Sunflower Soccer Association.
