Here are places to learn more or that may show current needs. Typical Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities: Skilled Volunteering SSFL provides many other specialized volunteer areas that need staffing on a regular basis. Such opportunities include: Fund Raising Special fund-raising events such as the Holiday Drive are always in need of helping hands and minds to perform a variety of services. Set Up And Sort Food We ask volunteers to work the line and or help set up and sort the food on the line, which represents the heart of SSFL FoodBank’s operations. You will be trained to conscientiously check, sort, and hand out food throughout the entire pantry distribution time. Contact the organization to explore other possible ways to work together. |

| How you help | Through the help of gracious donors from the community and beyond and with help from our amazing volunteers, SSFL distributes food regularly, every first and third Wednesday of each month. |

| About | From distribution to 100 families in December of 2007, we have grown and now serve over 7,000 people and families in the Los Angeles and Inland Valley area every month. SSFL strives to not only help with immediate needs, but to begin a relationship encompassed in trust so we may help with other needs such as clothing, education, and housing. Our drive through pantry serves the community on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of every month 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. This is a drive through pantry only, rain or shine. |
