| About | Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service (LAVNS) was founded in 1973 by Sarah Rochester, a registered nurse who saw the need for home healthcare services in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Rochester began by providing care to patients in their homes and quickly realized that there was a growing need for more comprehensive home healthcare services in the community. Over the years, LAVNS has grown to become a trusted provider of home healthcare services in Los Alamos and the surrounding areas. The organization provides a wide range of services, including skilled nursing, physical therapy, wound care, and social work services. The organization works closely with patients and their families to develop individualized care plans that meet their unique needs and goals. Today, approaching our 50th Anniversary, LAVNS is recognized as a leader in home healthcare services in New Mexico. The organization continues to build on Sarah Rochester’s legacy of compassionate care and commitment to the community. |
