| About | We are Cuba Township, one of Illinois’ oldest forms of local government, established in 1850 in the southwest corner of Lake County, serving a region that spans parts of eight municipalities with a commitment to community welfare. Our team includes elected officials like Township Supervisor Christopher Karam, Assessor Nicole Knapik, and Clerk Heidi Shannon, alongside a staff and volunteers who manage everything from road districts to food pantries, all based out of our historic blue farmhouse at The Grove. With a rich history—originally named Troy Township before being renamed Cuba in solidarity with an insurrection abroad—we are a tight-knit organization proud to support our residents through practical services and a personal touch. |
