Volunteer Delaware

As the state office of volunteerism, Volunteer Delaware connects volunteers through a statewide platform, celebrates service through the Governor’s Volunteer Awards, supports community response during times of need, and provide tools, training & recognition for volunteer programs.

Service programs engage individuals in hands-on projects—such as education, conservation, disaster response, and community development—while providing valuable experience and making a direct impact.

• Volunteer Delaware 50+ – a statewide program to engage persons 50 and older in volunteer service, to meet critical community needs, and provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers.
• AmeriCorps Delaware – As the largest AmeriCorps State service program, there are nearly 7,000 opportunities to serve.
• AmeriCorps Seniors  – Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors, and friends to children with exceptional needs. The program provides a way for volunteers age 55 and over to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities.

• MLK Jr. Day of Service – Opportunities to give back across many organizations.
• Volunteer Delaware Conference – A full day of inspiration, professional development, and community-building. This statewide event brings together volunteer leaders, nonprofit professionals, and community partners to Reignite, Rebuild, and Reimagine Volunteerism in Delaware.
