California Volunteers

California Volunteers is the state office tasked with engaging Californians in service, volunteering and civic action to tackle our State’s most pressing challenges.

Together, California Service Corps members help communities by taking climate action, tutoring and mentoring students to help them succeed, supporting regions impacted by disasters, working to end hunger and connecting vulnerable people to vital resources and services.

• AmeriCorps California members are adults (18+) from all backgrounds who serve anywhere from two to 12 months in nonprofits, public agencies, and educational institutions.
• #CaliforniansForAll College Corps Fellows are full-time students at participating colleges and universities who serve with nonprofits, K-12 schools, and public agencies over the course of an academic year.
• California Climate Action Corps Fellows are adults (18+) who serve up to 11 months with public agencies, nonprofits, tribal communities, and educational institutions.
• Youth Service Corps members are young people (16-30) from underserved communities who get hands-on experience with public agencies and nonprofits in participating cities and counties.
