| About | The Muskegon Humane Society (MHS) was founded in 1972 as a nonprofit animal rescue group who worked out of their homes to save animals in need. In 1980, we purchased the location we are currently in. Although it is in a residential neighborhood now, we continue to improve our facility and its 10 acres to best serve and enrich the lives of the average 100 animals in our care. 2022 was our 50-year anniversary and it brought the unplanned acquisition of a low-cost community animal clinic. |
