Volunteer in United Way of the Eastern Upper Peninsula

Advancing the common good is less about helping one person at a time and more about changing systems to help all of us. We are all connected and interdependent. We all win when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, when people are healthy.

In 2014, United Way of the EUP (UWEUP) began the development of a Community Impact Plan and a new approach to United Way business. Designed to create long-term community change, this plan will be a road map for United Way and our partners on how to build a better community that provides opportunity for all. It will guide us in connecting the strengths and assets of our communities with opportunities to improve in a measurable way. Community Impact harnesses the power of the entire community to create significant, sustainable improvements; it requires many community partners working together to solve complex, systemic problems.
