The Office of the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman is looked to throughout the state as a known advocate that protects and ensures the health, safety, welfare and rights of residents and tenants in long-term care facilities. Through advocacy, self-empowerment and education, each resident or tenant in a long-term care facility will be treated with dignity and respect and will have his/her rights honored.
