| About | Grant Me Justice is a grassroots 501c3 organization established to provide resources to victims who have lost loved ones to violent crimes. These resources include, but are not limited to, counseling, access to legal counsel, story documentation, group support, and other resources as identified by individual need. Grant Me Justice was founded after hearing and seeing countless stories of murder victims and the brokenness of the criminal justice system as it relates to victims. The extent of brokenness hit home firsthand when Alexia K. Buckhalter, our founder’s daughter, was murdered on March 14, 2017. This journey for justice would eventually encompass three years of countless trips down judicial process road. As a result of her experience, it was important for her to find ways to ensure that the victim’s voice was heard and that the judicial process included the fair treatment of victims. Additionally, she wanted to find ways to equip victims with resources that armed them with a better opportunity for fair and equitable outcomes and ultimate healing. As she was able to look back at her journey, there were several important resources that were not accessible to her that could have possibly changed the trajectory of her daughter’s cases. These resources included reputable legal counsel, opportunities to be heard during the judicial process, and counseling to help process and heal the emotional trauma. Thus, Grant Me Justice was established.
