| About | We are a youth arts charity that has served the Volusia County Community for over 24 years. Many years ago in the early 1990’s while striving for new and creative ways to educate students, the art department of Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida realized an important element was missing from their students’ education. Art students lacked a professional venue to display their work and complete the artistic experience. This concept blossomed into ArtHaus Foundation, which was established as a 501(c)(3), not for profit organization on January 8, 1996. We are celebrating our 20th year as an art educational and cultural non profit organization. Tim Ludwig, Art Department chairman and art teacher Laurie Gomon Ring worked together with many volunteer students, teachers, parents and businesses to create ArtHaus. Named in honor of the Bauhaus, a German state-sponsored school of art which united artists and schools of thought in the 1920-30s, ArtHaus has grown in importance as an organization that brings together artists, teachers, students and the community at large for the purpose of: |
