    The Durango Botanic Gardens, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was founded in 2010 as the Durango Botanical Society with the goal of producing one of the Southwest's premier public gardens. We are funded by donations, memberships, and ticketed events. Our gardens are maintained entirely by volunteers, guided by a volunteer board of directors. In 2024, membership has grown to 421 members.
