About

We are United Way of Kaw Valley, a nonprofit organization formed from the 2022 merger of United Way of Greater Topeka and United Way of Douglas County, serving Shawnee, Douglas, Jackson, and Jefferson counties in northeast Kansas. Our team comprises dedicated staff, volunteers, and community leaders who work tirelessly to address pressing local needs through innovative programs like Junior Leader Readers, which has distributed over 40,000 books to pre-K and kindergarten students since 2010. We are a bridge between donors, nonprofits, and the community, committed to creating equitable opportunities and lasting impact.
