Friends of Banshee Reeks, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, was established to protect and enhance Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve (BRNP). We work to build an informed and engaged community of members, volunteers, and supporters who appreciate and actively contribute to the preserve’s welfare. Founded in 1999, BRNP occupies a historically rich landscape with artifacts dating back to 6000 BCE and has evolved through centuries of stewardship, including its transformation into a protected preserve by Loudoun County in 1991. Today, we focus on preserving this history and natural beauty for the enjoyment and education of visitors and future generations, investing financial resources and volunteer efforts to sustain its legacy and natural ecosystem.
