Volunteer in Counteract International (formerly Orphan Helpers)

Counteract International is dedicated to equipping incarcerated and released youth in Central America to achieve life turnarounds. Through consistent mentorship, life skills training, and biblical guidance, the organization helps these young individuals embrace a new trajectory for their lives. By addressing the holistic needs of these youth, Counteract aims to break the cycle of generational trauma and foster lasting change. Their faith-driven approach ensures that every youth has a future worth fighting for.

Founded in 2000, Counteract International, formerly known as Orphan Helpers, is a nonprofit organization committed to serving vulnerable youth in Central America. Operating in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala, the organization has established 12 Success Academies, graduating over 2,000 students since 2016. With a focus on holistic care, Counteract provides educational opportunities, spiritual guidance, and mentorship to incarcerated and released youth. Their efforts have led to significant transformations, including over 500 baptisms and the reintegration of hundreds of youth into their communities.
