About

We are a 90% workforce of volunteers providing support across five service lines:

Blood Services

Greeter volunteers play a vital role and are the initial contact to donors at our blood centers and bloodmobiles. As a Greeter, you will welcome and thank donors, maintain donor sign-in/appointment log and donor flow, direct donors to read pre-screening questions and distribute reading materials to donors.

Canteen Volunteers will assist the donors in the “Canteen” area of the blood center and bloodmobile. Responsibilities include: thanking donors for their gift of life, serving food and drinks; observe donors for possible reactions and alerting the collection staff if a potential problem is observed.

Disaster Services

Each year, the American Red Cross responds to more than 60,000 disasters, both natural and man-made. As you watch disaster relief efforts unfold, you may wonder how the Red Cross recruits and trains volunteers. The Red Cross offers disaster training to equip volunteers with the proper skills and knowledge to prepare them for when disaster strikes in their local community and across the country. Becoming a Disaster Volunteer requires a commitment to training and if you have the heart and desire to volunteer in Disaster Services, we will work with you to make sure you get the training you need. All disaster training is free!

Health and Safety Classes:

Instructors provide lifesaving skill instruction through CPR/First Aid and babysitter training.

International Services:

Assisting people affected by disasters, providing education about the rules of war, reuniting families, helping to provide vaccinations around the world for measles.
