Founded in 2007 and established as a nonprofit in 2012, Hope Grows was born from a personal journey of healing and a desire to support others navigating the challenges of caregiving. After experiencing the profound impact of grief, Founder Lisa Story found solace in nature, planting the seeds—both literal and symbolic—that grew into a mission of hope. Today, Hope Grows serves family caregivers by offering emotional and mental health support through counseling, therapeutic respite, and wellness programming. Our approach combines the restorative effects of nature with personalized care, helping caregivers find balance and strength in their caregiving journey. In 2023, we expanded our support by opening the Iris Respite House Bed & Breakfast, a nurturing space for overnight stays that provides a peaceful break from the daily demands of caregiving.
