| About | Delmarva Public Media is a collaborative network of public radio stations serving the Delmarva Peninsula, encompassing parts of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The network comprises three stations:
The origins of Delmarva Public Media trace back to the establishment of WSCL 89.5 FM in 1987. Owned by Salisbury University, WSCL has been a cornerstone of classical music programming in the region. In 2012, the network underwent significant changes under the leadership of General Manager Gerry Weston. These changes included rebranding efforts and strategic initiatives to enhance the network’s financial sustainability and community engagement. A pivotal development occurred in 2020 when Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore collaborated to form Delmarva Public Media. This collaboration integrated WSCL 89.5 FM, WSDL 90.7 FM, and WESM 91.3 FM, aiming to provide a diverse range of programming to the Delmarva community. |
