Service Clubs

Many cities have local service clubs that offer community engagement opportunities, such as Rotary Clubs.

  • The heart of Rotary is our dedicated members, who share the ideals of service, friendship, diversity, integrity, and leadership. Rotary clubs bring together people across generations who wish to create lasting change in the world, in their communities, and in themselves.

  • We are the Kelso Longview WA chapter of Kiwanis International, an organization committed to securing a bright future for local children. Our volunteer members are outstanding local residents who hold community service in the highest regard.

  • For a very long time, Longview Pioneer Lions have been serving our community and surrounding area in the Lower Columbia region (we celebrated our 100th birthday last year!!). We provide eyeglasses and hearing aids for those who can’t afford them

  • Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in Southwest Washington communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of Southwest Washington.

Mutual Aid & Grassroots Networks

Many communities rely on grassroots and informal networks to meet urgent needs. There may be opportunities to get involved through mutual aid networks, food distribution efforts, neighborhood action teams, or other groups that aren’t often listed on volunteer platforms.

  • There are 32 mutual assistance and financial organizations in the greater Longview Washington metro area. Combined, these Longview metro mutual assistance organizations employ 80 people, earn more than $3 million in revenue each year, and have assets of $7 million.
