| Mission | Green Star of Interior Alaska is a local nonprofit serving the Fairbanks North Star Borough. Our programs encourage reuse of materials, reduction of unnecessary waste, and increasing recycling efforts in our community. We are a small organization, with an Executive Director and four part-time staff. Our Board of Directors and an amazing crew of volunteers make our work possible! | About | Green Star of Interior Alaska is a nonprofit in Fairbanks, Alaska that encourages and enables the Fairbanks North Star Borough to reduce waste and increase recycling. We work with the borough to recycle electronics, facilitate recycling at community events, offer low or no-cost electronics to folks in the FNSB who need help connecting with resources online during the pandemic, and we coordinate with Interior villages to get their old electronics shipped out for recycling. |
