    The Carson City Host Lions Club was chartered on October 18, 1932 and is one of the oldest service clubs in Carson City.  The Lions work with the community and support local endeavors such as eye care, scholarships, Kids’ Fishing Day, and so much more.  The Carson City Host Lions embrace people from all walks of life and all ages

    Lions Clubs International is the largest membership-based service organization in the world. The Carson City Host Lions are a diverse group of  men and women of all ages who engage in community-oriented service projects, like environmental clean-up, vision preservation, youth services, senior citizen services, and so much more,

  • Soroptimist International of Carson City

    Soroptimist was formed in 1921 in Oakland, California, at a time when women were not permitted to join service organizations. Our name, loosely translated from the Latin, means best for women. Today, they have over 25,000 members and supporters in countries across North America, Latin America and the Pacific Rim. They are one of five federations that make up Soroptimist International, which has clubs in more than 120 countries throughout the world.

    Their vision: Women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

    Their mission: Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment, specifically those facing significant obstacles.
